StoreStudio vs AppLaunchpad
Both make App Store screenshot sets for about the same price. The right choice depends on whether you also publish to Google Play and what you need beyond the screenshots.
Pick AppLaunchpad if your app is also on Google Play, you want a library of more than 1,000 templates, or you want your captions translated for you.
Pick StoreStudio if you only need App Store screenshots, or want listing research in the same plan.

Where AppLaunchpad is the better choice
AppLaunchpad makes App Store and Google Play screenshots from one design. If your app is also on Android, that alone makes it the better choice.
Pro has more than 1,000 templates, 700+ fonts and a place to keep your brand assets, and it translates captions with AI. It costs $96 a year, close to StoreStudio’s price.
StoreStudio makes App Store screenshots, not Google Play. It has seven template packs, and you write or import every caption yourself.
Where StoreStudio is the better choice
StoreStudio checks each slide before you export it. It flags the wrong export size, a missing screenshot, low contrast, a missing translation, a headline that runs long in a language and a font that can’t display Japanese.
Pro (the full editor) is $79 a year. It includes every template pack, custom fonts, captions in 18 languages and every export size, in one ZIP organised by language and size. The free plan exports five slides at full resolution with no watermark and no account.
Research for the store page in the same plan
Suite (Pro plus Listing) costs $119 a year. Listing shows where your app ranks for a search, whether Apple suggests that search, and how strong page one is. You can draft the name, subtitle, keywords and description, with checks on the keyword field as you type.
A useful phrase can go to a screenshot project as the start of a caption, with its source attached. Listing records each change and when it went live, so the next update starts from what you tried last time. It doesn’t show search volume or download estimates.

Common questions
- Is StoreStudio Free a trial?
- No. Free has no time limit. Make one project with five slides in one language, and export it at full resolution in one size, without a watermark or an account.
- Can I use Listing before my app is published?
- Yes. Listing works for an unpublished app, so you can draft the name, subtitle, keywords and description before launch. Once the app is live, it also shows where it ranks for a search.
- How do Listing and the editor work together?
- Send a search phrase or a review insight from Listing to a new screenshot project. The source stays attached while you write the caption and build the slide.
- How do I publish my changes?
- Export your screenshots and copy or download your Listing draft, then add them in App Store Connect. StoreStudio doesn't upload to App Store Connect, so you review and publish the changes yourself.
